A Fairytale Wedding at Provo City Center & The Bungalow

It began to rain as I pulled up to the Provo City Center Temple for Evy & Grant’s wedding last spring. I walked the grounds, photographing the temple and the scenery until it started pouring so hard that I had to step inside and pray that the rain would let up in time for Evy & Grant’s temple exit and family pictures. Their sealing finished and family and friends gathered with their umbrellas outside the temple doors to congratulate Evy & Grant. Thankfully, the rain had lessened and by the start of family pictures, had stopped altogether. It was like the sky knew that Evy & Grant were finally married and wanted to bless them with sunshine.

The gorgeous Provo City Center Temple in Provo, Utah is practically a castle, and Evy & Grant’s love story is nothing short of a fairytale. Evy & Grant have been friends since preschool, and although their families moved over the years, they somehow ended up living near each other. During her speech, Grant’s mother shared a story of the two of them when they were little. She felt then that there was something special about Evy, not knowing that years later, Evy would become her daughter-in-law!

Evy & Grant exchanged rings and expressed their love for each other during an intimate dinner held at The Bungalow in Pleasant Grove. Toasts were raised, bringing both tears and laughter. Brides always say that their mouths tire from smiling so much, but MY face was tired of smiling just by watching Evy & Grant! They were so joyful the entire day, and you could see the love that they have for each other in their eyes.

Their reception took place in the gardens of The Bungalow, nestled among trees connected by stepping stone pathways. Rays of sunlight danced through the leaves and lights twinkled like fireflies. Flowers graced every detail from the wedding favors to the cake. Guests helped themselves to drinks, hors d'oeuvres and the most delicious sweet and savory crepes. Family members reconnected while Evy & Grant jammed with their friends to "PoP! Goes my Heart" and all their favorite songs. As the celebration drew to a close, Evy & Grant were sent off in a shower of rose petals before driving off into the sunset.

What a joy it was to capture such a beautiful wedding! To Evy & Grant, I hope this past year of marriage has been as happy as that first day. I absolutely adore you two and hope your love continues to grow through rain and shine.
