Classy Engagement Photos at the George Latimer Library & Stone Arch Bridge

I couldn’t have been more excited when Katrina reached out last November for me to take engagement photos of her & Leon! Katrina & I have been good friends since high school and I’m just SO happy that she found the one!! Katrina & Leon had gotten engaged in Chicago that October and came up to visit the Twin Cities for the holidays. I’m so glad our schedules lined up to make these photos happen!

In the chilly winter months of Minnesota when the trees are bare, I love using the beautiful architecture of the Twin Cities as my backdrop. The elegant George Latimer Library in Saint Paul made for a classy location that fit perfectly with the outfits that Katrina & Leon had picked out. Even though it was chilly outside, you can’t tell at all from their candid smiles! Fortunately, we were also able to make use of the beautiful golden staircase inside the library for a few photos out of the cold.

All my engagement sessions include an outfit change, and for Katrina & Leon’s second outfit, we decided to drive over to the charming Stone Arch Bridge! I love photographing there with its beautiful view of the Minneapolis skyline. Katrina had lived in the area and had taken many walks over the Mississippi River, so it was a special place to photograph the two of them together as the sun set. We laughed about how it was their turn now to be the ones getting their pictures taken on the bridge, since it’s a popular spot for proposals and photos!

Katrina & Leon are so gracious and kind, I so enjoyed getting to document their love! Being engaged is certainly an exciting time of life, and it’s an honor to be able to capture it.
