Family Photos with Spring Blossoms at Arneson Acres Park

Few things are longer awaited than the springtime in Minnesota. Winters here seem to drag on forever, so when spring finally comes, everyone comes out of hibernation with seemingly more energy and a new zest for life. But maybe that’s just me, or thanks to the extra hours of sunshine and Vitamin D! Either way, I always seem to forget just how green Minnesota can be. Every spring I’m always in awe of the colorful blossoms, from the lightest of pinks to the deepest magenta. Springtime never sticks around for very long so I wanted to take advantage of the beautiful blooms before they grew into summer!

On Mother’s day last spring, I met up with the Graves family at Arneson Acres Park in Edina, Minnesota for their family photos! From the parking lot, we walked through the wooden gazebo into a real life secret garden. A water fountain sits pleasantly in the middle of the park, surrounded by tall hedges, trees and a variety of flowers. The park is truly a photographer’s dream, with trees of white & pink blossoms and so many wonderful spots to take pictures! We photographed against a backdrop of crabapple trees and the most heavenly smelling lilac bushes. As we meandered around the park, we discovered daffodils, hyacinths and the daintiest bleeding hearts. It was a perfect day to enjoy the sunshine, nature and spend time with family.

I’m so grateful we were able to capture these beautiful photos for the Graves family last spring! Springtime is so fleeting, but so are these precious moments with your family. That’s why I love to photograph families so you can treasure these memories forever! This May I’ll be hosting Spring Mini Sessions here at Arneson Acres Park in Edina, Minnesota. You can book your spot here if you’re interested and reach out with any questions!
